WaysForward
WAYSFORWARD NOW FREE TO UNIVERSITIES
The current version of the WaysForward Self Help program for Students, “WaysForward Twenty Questions”, is available Free to Universities in the UK and Eire, due to generous Charitable sponsorship
Fast, Focused, Highly Interactive Online Help
WaysForward is a focused, fast and highly interactive program designed to help with all kinds of personal and emotional difficulties - anxiety, depression, and phobias, but also relationship problems, drink/drugs issues, bereavement, work or study difficulties, and so on. WaysForward uses the ideas and methods of Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and so provides an alternative to the online programs that use a CBT approach.
24/7 Access to Online Self Help
WaysForward can be linked to your organisation website to give your Service Users 24/7 access to a self help support resource.
Popular with Students
The WaysForward program can be completed in about twenty minutes, making it a more focused resource than some other programs, and this has made it highly popular with students.
The program has been used online by more than 4000 students in Universities including : Bath Spa, Birmingham City, Brighton, British School of Osteopathy, Dundee, Durham, Glamorgan, Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian, Manchester Metropolitan University, NUI Galway, Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork, and Fontys University in the Netherlands.
University Counselling Services have found WaysForward helpful as an online “shop window”, as a way to prepare students before coming to face to face sessions, and as a resource for “homework” and extra support between counselling meetings.
Many other students use WaysForward because they are reluctant to come for face to face counselling, at least initially. Here the program serves as a means of widening participation in Student Services provision. In some Universities WaysForward has been used as a resource to support peer mentoring schemes.
